The Camp

The camp is situated within the Greater Kruger conservancy, surrounded by popular private game reserves such as Kapama, Thornybush and Klaserie. Nestled next to a lake, with a view of the Drakensberg mountains, the camp has a beautiful setting, and a relaxed atmosphere. The camp is a great birding spot, with water birds as well as bush veld species frequenting the area. Sightings of Malachite kingfisher, Goliath heron, Purple-crested turaco, White-backed and Hooded vultures, Spotted eagle and Wood owls are to mention a few. The camp area itself has large mammals such as Nyala, Burchell’s zebra, Impala, Waterbuck, Warthog, Kudu and primates such as Vervet monkeys and Chacma baboons, and more. Leopard’s frequent the area, as well as porcupines, genet’s, civets, bush babies, and other nocturnal creatures.

Sitting by the camp fire and listening to lions roar, or hyena's whooping, is one of the highlights of a tour. A stroll around the lake is a good way to relax and enjoy the scenery. There is a swimming pool with a bar/restaurant, and free WiFi.  The accommodation is all bedded, with bedding provided. There are A-frame safari tents with communal restrooms, en suite chalets. and en suite luxury safari tents.

There are hot water showers and flush toilets. 

Guests need to provide their own towel for swimming, and personal toiletries for all accommodation.
